The Williams High School class of 1954 recently presented a set of yearbooks to the Oakland Public Library. The set includes original "Ripple" yearbooks dating from 1900 to 1970. The oldest issues, 1901 to 1920, and some from the 1930's and 1940's were donated by Lucille Small, Williams class of 1934. Additional issues came from the Oakland Historical Society and other local people.

In addition to the original yearbooks, the 1954 class donated a solid oak bookcase built by John Bucknam, Williams Class of 1958, to house these items. Copies of the 50 original yearbooks, the Williams High School newspaper "The Eagle" and classmate Linda Grady's book "Been There, Seen That," a history of Oakland in the 1950's will now be available.

Library patrons and visitors are invited to use the resources during library hours.
